SUSTAINABLE Uttlesford celebrated its one-year anniversary with a community showcase. The event was well attended and brought together residents, volunteers, and organisations to celebrate the district's growing network of community-led climate action projects. The showcase highlighted ongoing efforts to support sustainability, environmental improvements, and local resilience across the district. Neil Reeve, chairman of Sustainable Uttlesford and councillor responsible for environment and climate change at Uttlesford Council, said: "It was fantastic to see so many residents and community groups coming together to celebrate the achievements of Sustainable Uttlesford’s first year. "The passion and commitment demonstrated across the district is truly inspiring. "Community-led action is central to creating a greener future, and we are proud to support the groups and volunteers who are driving this positive change." Attendees heard case studies from community groups involved in energy-saving projects, biodiversity restoration, and more. Partners also shared updates on emerging opportunities for community energy schemes and habitat enhancement. The event served as a networking space for residents to share ideas and explore ways to contribute to a greener district.
