Се спојуваат клиниките за кардиологија и кардиохирургија Државната кардиохирургија ќе биде споена со клиниката за кардиологија во еден заеднички центар. Ваква одлука на предлог на Министерството за зџравство била донесена на последната владина седница во вторникот. „Со донесената одлука за спојување на двете клиники формираме единствен центар на терциерно ниво за кардиоваскуларна медицина, кој ќе овозможува континуитет на дијагностичко-терапевтскиот процес, од превенција и дијагностика, до интервентен и хируршки третман, велат од Министерството за здравство. Според здравствените власти, пациентите, ќе добиваат комплетна кардиолошка и кардиохируршка грижа во рамки на единствена установа, без административни пречки и чекање трансфер, што, ќе значи поголема достапност. Новата здравствена установа ќе се вика – Универзитетска клиника за кардиологија и кардиоваксуларна хирургија, Национален институт за кардиоваксуларни заболувања
